I am a person with disability

  • What is the NDIS and what does it mean for me?

The NDIS gives people with disability the support they need to live the life they want to live. It is an insurance scheme being rolled out nationally. The NDIS is not a welfare system, it is designed to provide those eligible the supports they need to improve their independency over time.

  • Am I eligible?

Eligibility depends on many different factors. Answer a few questions, see if you’re eligible and get more information on the NDIS website.

  • I have my NDIS plan, what do I do now?

Once you receive your NDIS plan via email or in the mail, have a read through to understand your supports. Your plan is considered active from the date it is approved, which can be found on the front page of your plan.

At your planning meeting, you would have decided who you want to assist with the next steps so you can start receiving your supports.

If Support Coordination is funded in your plan, a Support Coordinator will contact you shortly after you receive your NDIS plan (we provide this service! Click here for more info).

If you are not funded for Support Coordination, a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) can assist you in getting your plan started.
